Posted on BMB also. I need some help with buying bottles and nipples. I have no idea how to pick or what size to buy. I planned to BF longer but due to a serious illness I can no longer nurse. Any help would be very much appreciated! TIA!
Avent is always a safe bet, but maybe you should just buy 1 or 2 and see how your LO does. I also really like the Similac bottles (so does DS). I would also get the 6 month+ nipples, and you might as well get the bigger bottles since LO is 9 months+. y
I used Dr. Browns with both girls and loved them. I bought the 4oz and 8oz bottles, along with level P (premie), 1, and 2 nipples. They have level 3 nipples as well, but my girls never went past 2.
We used Tommee Tippee bottles which are suppose to be shaped more like a breast. My dd was breastfed and supplemented till 9 months then switched just to formula. She still only takes 4oz per feeding and 6oz at bed time. Breastfed babies eat differently.
