We've been fostering two kids since July. It looks like they'll be reunified at this point, although it was previously looking like adoption. We have some serious concerns which we've voiced to the guardian ad litem and our licensing worker. They were both brushed off by the social worker and supervisor and even told "not to ask questions," when they voiced these concerns for us. My husband said that at one court hearing he was at that when the judge asked the foster parents if they had anything they wanted to share with her that they asked to speak to her in closed quarters and she did that. My DH is thinking about doing that at the next court hearing. Has anyone done this? I just don't want to be discredited at too attached and wanting to "keep" them which is what the worker seems to think.
