Nipple Flow question

STM here and for the life of me I can't remember how this went with DD1.  DD2 is exclusively FF and I have had her on the level 1 nipples (she is just shy of 3 months old).  Recently on the level 1, DD has been either losing interest or falling asleep half way or a little more through her bottle and I attributed that to the flow being too slow.  So I switched her to level 2.  She does pretty well while drinking (a little messier) but then after about half her bottles, she is spitting up more than normal (both in volume and frequency).  Could this be just because of the increased flow level and should I put her back down to the level 1's?

    We switched DS to 2's and medium flow nipples, it took him a few days to get used to the flow. Now he is fine with it. He did spit up more for about a week or so...now it seems to have gotten better.

    What bottles are you using? We use Avent and I liked that their 2 is a transition...still slow flow but a little fast
