DD has been potty trained for at least a year if not a little longer. She goes through periods where she starts having frequent accidents. This first time this happened I took her to the doctor thinking she might have a UTI. She didn't and the doctor didn't seem concerned. I then had a baby and thought that might be the cause. It is happening again and I just can't figure out what is going on. She doesn't have very many accidents at school, one here and there but she pretty much has accidents constantly at home. For instance this evening, she had probably 5 accidents from 5pm-9pm. She had one accident and within 10 minutes was running back to the bathroom. She does not care most of the time if her panties are wet, she will just keep wearing them. Other times she just goes and changes them herself. I have tried time out, rewarding her for no accidents, trying to talk to her about it to see if she can tell me why she is having them. So far nothing. I'm at a loss and so frustrated. When she turns 4 she will go to preschool at a private school that does not tolerate accidents. I need to take care of this before then. Please help!! TIA

That's a lot of accidents in a short period of time. It sounds like she's not emptying her bladder. Then she goes back to what she's doing, relaxes and a little more comes out.
Is she trying to go potty quickly at home, so she
Oh, and I agree with Fredalina - I strongly oppose punishment/timeouts for accidents. It sends the absolute wrong message.
I actually also oppose treats for success, because it encourages "saving pee" so you can go again and get another tr
