Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Meats?

Just started our LO on meats we did the Ferber chicken and veggies for dinner the past two nites went over well. What meats do you recommend or not recommend when just starting? TIA

  • Our doc said anything that is pureed well enough is fine.  I was told the only thing to avoid is honey.

  • We've done chicken, next we're doing fish. However avoid high mercury fish. We'll just do some whitefish like cod or polluck.

  • We haven't done any meat yet.  I have added chickpeas and lentils to their diet, which serve as a good meat substitute.  Just thought I would throw it out there, in case you were looking to mix it up a bit.
