I know nothing about computers but mind just took a dump. So, I guess I'm in the market for a new one.

Everyone I know has a macbook pro..is there any other brand you would rec?

HP makes great laptops. Mine is 7 years old and it would be still working if I had updated the damn antivirus. Oh well is on the mend currently :P oh and they are not expensive.

Macbooks are awesome. But if you're looking for a more decent price, I'd agree with Yasiris and go with an HP. Asus are also good.
