Baby Elsie has been struggling for a while. We had one day where she screamed uncontrollably the whole day. A few days after that at her 2 month appt, the PA recommended using mylicon at every feeding to see if that helped and then gave us a prescription for Zantac just in case. The mylicon made some difference. Yay! But we are still having feedings where after 5 minutes, she starts screaming, burps like a frat boy, and then refuses my nipple. She'll take a pacifier, kind of, to calm down a little. Today we had copious amounts of spit up following a feeding like this. Soaked.
So I filled her Zantac prescription to see if that will help her. Says half a mL 2x a day. Moms of babies with reflux, when do you administer your meds? I hope this works. Maybe we'll actually get into a regular feeding rhythm!
