We are taking our first flight with DD who is 15 months. We did buy her a seat. A few friends have said it is such a hassle to bring the seat on board, but we're planning to try it. We are debating whether or not to bring her infant seat, which she is just a little big for, or to bring the Boulevard, which seems pretty big. We are going to the USVI, and will drive some there, but it will be minimum (so I'm ok to use the infant seat there). Would appreciate any experience in terms of whether it's much easier to use the infant seat. DD has never loved any of the seats, but maybe slept a little more in her infant seat. Thanks!

Re: Flight - Britax Boulevard or Chicco Keyfit?
I've flown with the Keyfit 30. It's easy to fly with. HOWEVER, if she's outgrown the seat, then you absolutely should NOT use it. Period.

We flew with the Keyfit a few months ago on a small plane (one seat on one side of the aisle and 2 seats on the other side!) and it fit rear-facing on the seat no problem (unless you are the person in front of it who can't recline the seat all the
We have both of these seats and have traveled multiple times with DS, including one at the time he was 15.5 mos. We didn't buy him a seat and had him on our lap the whole time. He slept for part of our flights and was happy to play for the rest of it.

I wouldn't use the seat she's outgrown.
Since the boulevard is a beast, I probably wouldn't bring that one either. I would get a cheap scenera ($50ish) to use for your trip, and then you have it for a spare when you get home.
