First EOWE an overall success.

Despite the rough start, we had a pretty good first EOWE.

 

He called me a little too much, but when I stopped answering every call and told him that I knew DD was in good hands, he got the picture.

 

Friday after the drop off and Saturday I had a moving sale and cleaned out most of the house.  I was exhausted by Saturday night and went to bed early.  I didn?t call XH and DD because I had already talked to them 3 times that day. 

 

The next morning XH tried to imply I was out partying and tried to make me feel guilty about not calling DD. I ignored him and talked to DD.   He got the picture I wasn?t going there.  He wanted to drop DD off early. I said, ?Sorry. I can?t meet earlier than our scheduled time.?  He said that he had to get ready for his new job and wanted to know if I could meet him at 5PM.  I said, ?5:00 I can do.?  What he had to do really to get ready for after 2-3 weeks of unemployment, I don?t know.  I wonder how I get thru my week with DD undertow and all I have to do.  It?s amazing isn?t it?

 

I will give him credit.  He bought her two pairs of shoes and it was clear he was trying to do the potty training. DD picked up where she left off when she came home. He also washed her clothes and all of it was returned. I even had a couple of extra diapers in the bag ? when I had only left him one extra.  Oh wait. Now that I think of it, he forgot to bring back her Ugg-like boots.  But it?s getting warm, so no big deal. I wouldn?t have sent her in them otherwise.

 

She was obviously happy spend time with him and I could tell she had a good time.   Every time we talked she went on and on about all the things they did or were doing.  XH said that she is much more chatty with me than him, and I said that she?ll get that way with him too once he gets consistent and sees her EOWE. 

 

Oh ? XH accidentally knocked her on her butt ? he opened the door to his truck to get her in, not realizing DD was rushing around him to hop in and knocked her in the head.  DD was telling me about her ?falling down?, but XH told me first.  He said, ?I?m not so perfect either.  I dropped the ball.?  I didn?t make a big fuss over it.  I just said, ?It happens, and she?s going to have many more little bumps and bruises.  They heal and she?s a tuffy.?  She has non bruises or bumps from it.

 

Overall ? it was pretty good.  She was very tried last night and talked a lot  about going back to daddy?s. I hope this is what we can expect most of the time and  I hope this lasts.
