treadmill vs elliptical

which one?

I want something that I can hop on for 20-30 minutes each morning to get my blood pumping and maybe help me shed the last 10 lbs that refuse to go away!

  • I would go to a store and try them both out to see which you like better.  There are so many brands out there, and you may find you like one more than the other.

    That being said, if I were in your situation, I would probably get an elliptica

  • I would also use both first and then try them.  Ellipticals tend to take up more space if you compare them to a treadmill that can fold up.  Though if you don't fold up the treadmill, then the elliptical will have the same footprint size.

  • I'm a treadmill person all the way, but a mix of both would be good for you. Do you run regularly? Ellipticals are not as much of an impact exercise as treadmills, so a mix could be better if you don't run a lot.

  • We have both, but if I could only have one I would pick the elliptical. Like PPs said, you can run outside on nice days and do elliptical on not so nice days.

  • We have both and I run on the treadmill because it burns more calories in the same amount of time.
