Cloth diapers

I'm looking into maybe trying them out. Those that do, what is your routine? How often do you have to wash? What do you do to keep them less stinky in between washes? And what do you do when you are out and about and its a poop diaper? Anything else you'd like to share in teaching me would be awesome!

Wash routine: I wash every other day (when DS was a baby I washed 2x/week, but I have two in diapers right now so I can't let the loads get too big!). Cold rinse, hot wash w/ 3T All Free & Clear powder, cold rinse. Dry in dryer on mediu

Which kind do you use? I see there are some trial websites. I may try them out. This may sound paranoid and ignorant, but the poop doesn't get your washing machine nasty?

CDing is so much easier then we expected. We wash every 2 days, and as she gets older it will probably be every 3 days. Cold rinse, then a "heavy" cycle, which gives us an extra rinse and spin. We use original tide.

I use the brand Real Nappies. Much more like the old fashioned cloth diapers than most cloth diapers on the market these days, but with velcro instead of safety pins. After a week of dedicated use they have become old hat to change and I don't mind at

We wash EOD like other posters. I have 30 diapers, most of which are Alvas, which are just 5 dollars a diaper and I like them just as well as those that cost 25.

The washer is not gross at all. And the wet bag full of diapers truly is essent
