Have you "leashed" your kid yet?

Have you, will you, won't you? We used one on DD at the zoo the other day. We had her in the stroller most of the time but she just got too antsy. So we put her sweet monkey leash backpack on her and let her have it. She was running and exploring. It was great to not have to worry about losing her or god forbid somebody trying to snatch her. It also helped when she almost fell face first into the pavement. We only got 1 "is that a leash?" comment, followed by "I used to do the same thing to my kids too!"

  • Not yet, but we're getting one.  After being outdoors a lot more the past couple of weeks, we have found that we absolutely have a runner on our hands.  She's good and will stay with me when she wants to....but has a tendency to dart away from m

  • OH! I forgot, we have also used it a few times in my parents back yard. They live on the lake and DD bolts for the water as soon as she gets outside. We don't hold on to her the entire time she is outside but when she makes a run for the water we can grab

  • Jack is a really good toddler, knock on wood, we haven't used it. We used one with Liam whenever we were near water, large crowds, vacation, or situations where he could easily get lost of stolen. He was a hardcore runner.

  • I am thisclose to jumping on the leash bandwagon. She loves to walk on her own, but can't stay out of trouble!

  • DD2 wasn't a walker up until a month ago. She's still got some catching up to do and tires fairly quickly when we're out and about, so the stroller is a better option for us now. If she ever becomes a bolter/runner, we might consider it, but it's not in t

  • Nope.  We don't use them.  Haven't, probably won't ever.  They're just not something I'm interested in, although I have nothing against them if you need them.  Pretty much my philosophy about everything...  Just because I don't or

  • No. Nothing against them (as long as you don't use an actual dog leash like I saw the other day..... chain leash with leather handle).

  • I've used it a number of times.

I have one that attaches to his wrist that we used last summer when we took a few plane trips - it was very useful in the security line at the airport. He really doesn't like it now, though, so I got a backpack one
