Good morning ladies!
Well, I am about 8 weeks pregnant and I am 215lbs. I have lost almost 100lbs before getting pregnant by changing my diet and heavily increasing my activity and workouts. I am very active now and exercising about 5 days a week and still have a ways to go. We just found out we are pregnant and I was very into Zumba, I am still continuing to go, however, have modified my moves and taken it down a notch.
I keep reading online, that it is okay to continue with the workouts if I was doing them before and I would like to remain active and continue my journey to better health, through our pregnancy. So I came here to get some advice from other momma's.
My question or questions.
1. Is it safe to continue Zumba? I spoke to my instructor, I've elimated jumping and any movement that seems like it would be dangerous or would increase possibility of falling.
2. What sort of workouts do you all participate in at the gym?
3. Any strength training with resistance machines or hand weights?
4. Any pregnancy workout DVDs that you would recommend?
Thank you in advance for all advice.

1. Yes, absolutely, you probably don't have to modify anything either. Just make sure you don't get overheated
2. I run and do CrossFit. Before that I belonged to Gold's and would mostl
Zumba is considered safe, as is weight training.
While I was pregnant I did pilates, zumba, weight training classes, and running. I ran until I was 27 weeks but had to stop due to ligament pain, same reason why I stopped with pilates and zumba.
