Questions for Hospital Tour?

Hi MoMs! Another question for you lovely ladies tonight! Any special questions I should ask on my hospital tour related to twins? I'll definitely be asking about the NICU specifically, but any other tips?

  • ...one more thing. If you are having a boy and getting a circumsion done in the hospital I would ask what there policies are about numbing his little thing. Some doctors use a lidocaine cream let that set and then use a lidocaine shot before ther circ. as
  • I asked about delivery procedures: if I'm attempting a vaginal delivery, do I deliver in the OR? Do you require an epidural? Where is the NICU floor compared to the recovery floor? Is constant monitoring required or is intermittent okay?

  • Great questions guys.  Writing them all down.  I am debating whether to do a tour or not.  Not sure DH will be able to go with me, but my BF might (she's due just a few weeks ahead of me).  I've done the tour before with my singleto

  • I just finished my tour today - so glad I did it. I feel so much more at ease knowing where we will go and how friendly/helpful the staff is.

    I didn't realize we would deliver in the OR regardless of a vaginal or ceasarean birth.

  • The tour was totally worth it.  I asked several questions related to difference for me... the only twin mom on the tour.  I was worried because the post pardom rooms are not very big and was trying to figure out how that would work with two.&
