We're trying to plan a family reunion which will require a 2 hour plane flight. I'm due Aug 8th. Assuming I don't go over cerclage comes out 3637 weeks what do you think is the earliest we'd feel comfortable traveling?
Earliest would be 6-8 weeks after birth, but even then... U r looking at the start of flu season in October, so for me if would be a while... April or after vaccination.
It's really hard to say. It somewhat depends on how easy your baby is and how comfortable you are. We took a 24 hour car ride with my oldest out to see my grandparents at 3 weeks. It wasn't a big deal at the time but looking back now I think it wa

We live in three cities and are planning to do a **very** early flight--we're working with our doctor, buying the baby her own seat, and flying first class with her.
we flew at 5 weeks for a dear friend's wedding. it was two parents on one infant.it went really well! all those early trips were great compared to flying with a toddler!

I flew with DD from OK to CA when she was 4 weeks old. At that age all she did was nurse and sleep so the trip went really smooth. It was also in early March but I wasn't too worried about her getting sick.
DS1's first flight was at 11 weeks. With this DS, we are planning a trip around 8 weeks. They are so easy to fly with as infants! Now, at 18 months, its a totally different story!
