Nap routine

What does your nap routine look like?  Do you do the same time every day or does it depend on when LO wakes up in the morning?  Do you do a bottle or cup of milk first or do you just put them in the bed wide awake?  etc...

DS is usually ready for a nap 4.5-5 hours after he wakes up in the morning.  This usually works out to me putting him down after lunch.  We give him a bottle, dim the room, put him in sleepsack, put him to bed (sometimes he's awake, but drowsy and sometimes he's asleep).  The pedi suggested I start removing the bottles.  I was thinking of trying sippy cup first before going cold turkey.... Then I'll have to do the same thing for bedtime.

  • Weekdays, DD has her nap at daycare around noon, when the rest of the group goes down. When she's home, she naps at about 11am.

We usually try to spend our mornings really active and out of the apartment. Before we leave, we close DD's blind

  • Depending on what time he wakes up, P goes down anywhere from 10 to 12 and naps for about 2 hours. we do not offer a bottle. I simpy place him in his crib, turn on the sound machine and walk out. If he wakes up at 6am or earlier, he will do two naps.

  • She generally goes down for a nap around noon1:00, which varies depending on morning wake time.

She has fluids with lunch at around 11.

We read a few books and put her down still awake.

  • Depending on what we are up to, nap time can vary. I usually put her down around 12:30 or 1:00. I change her diaper and put her in her crib, put on some music and leave the room. Sometimes she goes right to sleep, sometime she jumps and talks for a while,
  • DD usually goes down between noon and one, after lunch.  I just plop here in her crib and put on her crib soother aquarium thingy.  Sometimes she babbles and plays with her stuffed animals for up to half an hr, then she conks out.

  • E wakes up between 6:30 and 7:30 every morning and goes down for a nap between 10 am and 11 am. This nap can be one or two hours - just depends. We read a story, and listen to the 10 minute setting or of bedtime music on her My Pal Violet before her nap.

  • E usually wakes up around 6:30am, and her nap is at 12-ish.  I put her down in a sleep sack with a white noise sound machine in background along with her bunny and paci.  We don't do a bottle/sippy cup beforehand, but because she only

  • DD goes down for her nap between 11 and 12 and sleeps for 1 to 2 hours. We just take her into her room, check her diaper, turn on her sound machine, tuck her in and that's it.

  • I base her nap on when she got up and how her mood is.

I walk into the room, turn on her radio, turn off the lights, say goodnight, walk out.
