Team green turned PINK!

Announcing the safe arrival of Rebecca Dawn on Sunday April 14th at 5:43 am weighing 8lbs 13oz.

Birth Story

Went to bed on Saturday night around 11:00. Woke up around 1:30 feeling pretty strong contractions. Began timing them and realized they were about 2-3 mins apart. Decided to take a shower to relax. Woke Dh up to let him know we were a go. DH got the girls up, called MIL and the hospital. We were at the hospital by 2:30. FIL met us there to pick up the girls to take back to their place. Registered and admitted by 3:00. Was dilated to 4 contractions were lasting about 2 mins each (some as long as 4-5 mins) and asked for my epi. By the time the dr got there I was already a 5. Took 3 trys to get it positioned correctly. Checked again and was a 7. OB showed up and checked me 15 mins later and I was ready to push. 20 mins of pushing and she born. No tears!! Super quick and a huge surprise. We were pretty sure she was going to be a boy, but are thrilled with another girl!. There was meconium in the fluids and she was a bit wheezy at first but after about half an hour of skin to skin she was doing great and latched right away. MIL brought the girls over later in the afternoon to meet their sister and they were so excited.
