DH and I have been enjoying our 5 month old daughter and going through all the usual new parent struggles and joys. We love being parents and feel lucky our DD has been so "easy" with no real colic etc etc. Now her birthmother has informed us she is pregnant again (just 1 month?) and wonders if we would adopt another child of hers. We would love for DD to have a full blood sibling and for our second adoption to be an easy match as our last one took almost a year and a half to find the right mom for us... Are we crazy to think we can have a newborn and a 13 month old? It has to be easier than twins, right???? Totally excited freaked out right now. A second baby would make our family complete. It's just a little earlier than we expected.
Oh, and we are older parents, 38 and 42. So earlier is better in that we aren't getting any younger but also we are old so we have less energy! Ah well, just happy to think DD might have a full sibling! How nice.

Our Adoption Blog & Fundraising Efforts
Heading to China in November 2014 to bring our son home!
I had kids 3.5, 12 mo and newborn, youngest was foster and was with us 7 months, and it was work, but totally doable.
