first cold....maybe??

I think my poor little pumpkin has her first cold. I am sick right now with a stuffy/runny nose, sneezing,some coughing, and a little bit of a sore throat. I caught this from my little sister and my niece. My niece had been kissing on my little girl before we realized my niece was sick. My little girl has been sneezing more than normal, she has a runny/stuffy nose, and coughing a little, and had a slight fever yesterday (not sure if it was from teething or not). She also is not sleeping as soundly through the night. She also is sleeping more than normal during the day.

 

I guess my point here is that I'm just looking for advice. I'm a first time mom, so I don't know if I should run right to the doctor's office or just wait and see what happens, or if there is something else I should try. I'm taking over the counter cold medicine, but I don't know if my little one can do the same. I'm just not sure what I should do. lol. Thanks for any advice. I'm going to post this in the 3-6 month board as well. Thanks ladies.

    DD is just getting over her first cold. We just used saline to help suck out the mucus and ran her cool mist vaporizer at night to help with congestion. We also monitored her temp.

    My DD has been congested, but I don't know if it was a full blown cold.  We used saline drops to help break up the congestion, the nose frida to suck out the mucus, and ran the humidifier at night.  We also sat in a steamy bathroom before bed

    We only went to the doctor after 4 weeks of him having it...to make sure it wasn't more serious then we thought...he had his cold for a total of 6 weeks. I think he got it, kind of got rid of it and got it again from daycare. We used a ton of saline dr

    Same situation here. We are using saline drops, humidifier (cool mist) Tylenol and baby Vicks on his chest. We also bought a Vicks plug in thing.  We are all sick so it's helping us all. Took him to the dr today and they put him on antibiotics becaus

    Same here, we have just been using the humidifier, saline and sucker, a little tylenol ( I know when I have sinus stuff it just hurts all together) and trying for lots of rest and fluids ( smaller feedings more often) Good luck! Feel better little one!
