How many appts does your H attend?

I got my tentative calendar today, and holy cow, it is a lot of time off work. H and I have different schedules, so planning something first thing for me is hard for him, and vice versa.

I obviously want him to take the day off for the egg retrieval, but should I ask him to be there for the transfer too? Monitoring appointments are off the table.

You might want to check with your clinic. My clinic gives you Valium prior to et and they will not let you drive after et.

If the Valium isn't an issue I'd ask DH what he wants to do. Also, keep in mind there may be a discussion the day of

My DH goes for ER obviously and ET. Some have their hubby's at ET and some don't. I have to have a driver because of the Valium that my RE gives and no one else knows about our ivf, so he has to be there.

I can't remember for sure but I think they require a driver for transfer. I typically get a Valuum before transfer. Supposedly helps relax you. That way the cervix is easier to pass through.

I only had him go to ER & ET. He wouldn't be useful to have at the other appts as he sits quietly and never asks questions.

DH went to all our consult appoinents bit I went alone for all monitoring. He was there for ER and ET and was glad to be able to share those moments with him. We are lucky though because he is able to take off work pretty easily. And it worked out perfect
