Nursery pics! (PIP)

I've been lurking around here for a little bit while working on our nursery. It's finally done and I thought I'd show off some pictures. I know these pictures are way too big, but I can't get them to size right. Sorry about that.

We did a pirate theme.

One wall was set up to look like the inside of a pirate ship:

The details on the wall are vinyl porthole stickers. Each one has a different view, but I only have pictures of the one:

The shelf above has a few neat little pirate/sailing stuff:

It's backlit with and LED rope light that makes a great nightlight:

The other walls were set up to look like a ship's deck. Two walls have ship railing:

The frame on the wall contains a nautical map of the Florida Keys. Our local Red Lobster is remodeling and they donated all of the old furnishings to a thrift store. We got a great deal on this:

The last wall has the ships mast and wheel (that's an Ewok with a captain's hat in the crib...silly DH):

There are still a few things left to do. I have to figure out what I'm going to do about curtains. A few days before my anatomy scan, I found some fabric that would have been perfect, but by the time I knew if I was going to need it or not, it was gone. I still haven't found anything I like as well. I'm also considering making a slipcover for the sofa. We'll probably get a treasure chest at some point and a parrot replica to hang from the shelf.

Wow! Very unique! I like how you actually transformed the room into a "ship" and not just did pirate themed curtains/decals/bedding. Very creative!

Oh my gosh! My DH would die! All he has talked about is a pirate theme for the room. That is great!

Thanks guys! We really wanted to go with a room that can grow with him. I figure if we're going to put that much time and effort into a room, then I don't want to have to change it in 3 years because it's too babyish. We're really happy
