Adoption

Vent: Not Adoption related: Laptop stolen

Let me preface this by saying: DH is normally a very smart guy. He is probably one of the smartest people I know.

DH took my laptop with him on a trip back to Ohio for a board meeting. He took only a carry on bag since it was a short trip.  On the way home he did not want to lug around his carry on (it is brand new and has wheels) around the airport so he put my laptop in the carry on and checked it.  AGHHHHHH!!!!!  Stupid, stupid, stupid.  (Never a good idea, ever.)

This morning he goes to get my computer out of the bag and it is gone but a TSA "Your bag has been hand screened by inspectors" paper was there.   We have filed a report with TSA (like that is going to do anything) and I have contacted all my financial institutions as a preemptive strike against fraud.  I am so livid right now I don't know what else to do.

I know he feels very badly but how can he be so stupid? Just because he did not want to carry around a small bag with wheels.   We don't need the added expense of a new computer right now with the adoption stuff.  I am praying that I set up my iCloud correctly so when I do get a new one, it will be an easy transfer.

Pursing Domestic Infant Adoption through a local agency. In the meantime, our dog is our baby.  Bumping from Portland, Oregon.

  • I am so sorry!  I really hate when something like this happens and I get so mad at DH even when I know that he didn't mean for things to end up the way they did.  But things like this are just so frustrating!

  • That sucks big time!  Why is it that whenever we are trying to save money, a weird random expense happens?  I hope you are able to recover it!

I'm a dance studio owner, writer, cat mommy, and adventuress who is married to the man of her dreams. My husband and I have had a long-time dream to adopt and it's happening in a way that we didn't quite anticipate. But, like any move of God, it's turning out way better than we expected. We'd love for you to follow our story at www.kirstenkline.com!
