  I would start looking now. With my insurance baby is covered for the first 30 days and then after he will be on my husbands insurance as my company as well does not offer a family plan.

  If you have to get an additional plan I would start looking now and compare your options. For me, we just add the baby to the policy within 30 days. If you need to shop, I would now and I would make a decision before baby is here and then find out when yo

  This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! 
  DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
  131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
