Kettle bell...

Hi everyone, I'm a wondering if there are any of you out there that do kettle bell work outs while pregnant? 

 

My doctor says I'm fine to continue exercising (including weights) as long as I stay under 20lbs. But I wasn't sure about kettle bell since its a lot of swinging and mostly intense core workouts.

 

i work closely with a trainer, but he is a man and I would like input from others who've been or are pregnant .  

 

Any thoughts and/or experiences would be great!! :)

  • I did crossfit until I was 40w4d pregnant and consistently did kettlebells swings with a 35 pound kb. My last preg workout was deadlifts at 135 pounds and burpees!

    Listen to your body and watch for overheating and make sure you can keep talk.

  • Vpgirl06. I am a crossfiter as well. I would live to hear more about your modifications that you made through your pregnancy. I am 10 weeks and just looking for as much advise from serious ladies that Crossfit.
  • I am a crossfitter and a coach. I use 2635 depending on the workout. Power cleaned and jerked 95105 normally 125. I am 5 months and I have slowed down a bit and modified but I feel great!

  • I still workout with kettlebells a few times a week. Mostly swings, clean and press, and snatches. Just make sure your OB and your trainer know what you're doing.
