Brown spotting

Hi yesterday I woke up and noticed some brown spotting ! I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and bloodwork.. The baby still has a hearbeat and is still in the uterus . I'm still spotting today but no cramps .. Is this normal ? Has anyone experienced this or know what it is ?? Thank you and I'm 7 and half weeks !

    Brown is old blood tell your OB but really normal. Red blood can also be normal as long as no severe cramping. My OB says call and talk to nurse line but all is normal.

    I'm 7.5 weeks too and I've also had brown spotting here and there from week 5 on. The dr said as long as there's no severe cramping or red blood I should be fine. It doesn't make me any less worried tho. I never had this w my previous two pregnancies so t
