Natural Birth

New here!

Hello. I am new here. Someone suggested I come here from my birth club. I am 26 weeks pregnant and would like a natural birth. I am very set on this. I have had nothing but negative comments from everyone when I say that I don't want an epidural. Incl my husband. So any positive feedback is appreciated.

  • I just responded to your post on the July board and am happy to see you are serious enough about this topic to post here.

I talked to a guy at work this week about how he and his wife decided to go pain med free. He said he wasn't on board wi

  • One of the things I hated about being pregnant was that every single person would ask me if I planned on getting an epidural and I just lied to everyone and said yes. Only my H and I knew about our planned home birth. Luckily he was very supportive and

  • having a natural birth is all about mindset and surrounding yourself with supportive people.  There are several books in the FAQ that are great resources.  You can do it!
  • Do NOT listen to the naysayers. I really wanted a natural birth, but I thought I wouldn't be able to because I was induced with Pitocin. I thought the pain would be more than I could bare. It wasn't that bad. You can do anything you want!

  • Welcome!  A med free birth is completely achievable.. it just helps to do a little prep work, which it sounds like you are doing.  I'm sorry your husband isn't on board. You will definitely have an easier time if you can get him to support you i
