Discussion with DH?

I have a 3 month old, but even before she was born, I felt in my heart that I am supposed to adopt (sometime). I've never mentioned this to my DH. So I'm just curious how y'all had that discussion with your DH. Did he bring it up? Did you?

    I brought it up. He wasn't ready, but he was open to discussing it.

    IMO a lot of couples aren't on the same page initially, and one needs to "catch up". You have tons of time, so you can always broach the subject now (or soon) and see what he say

    I initially brought it up. We are not currently pursuing adoption but are keeping an open mind about it.

    Started TTC July 2012. Missed m/c & d&c 9/12 11w. Natural m/c 1/13 6w. Chemical pgs 3/13 & 8/13 around 4w. Currently TTA while saving for adoption.

    Dh was initially very hesitant to adopt (we're doing IA and are able to have bio kids). Through educating ourselves (and time), DH is now very pleased to be adopting and confident in our decision, even with the risks.

    Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
    After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
    Homestudy complete July 19
    USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!
