Allergies or Cold?

Hi Ladies,

DS is 19 months and thanks to the good lord above, he has yet to have any illness expect for a fever once or twice. He has had sneezing and running nose since yesterday. His discharge from his nose is anywhere from clear to yellow. Poor guy didn't sleep too well last night either, even with the humidifier going. He woke this morning with crusty nose and still sneezing/running. This sounds so silly but how can I determine if its allergies or the start of a cold? He's a little warm, but no fever. Ocassional cough, but mainly during the night when he's laying down.

  • I can never tell with DS but the fact that it has come and gone makes me think it's a cold but who knows. I would try the Vick's on the feet with socks and on the chest before bed and that should help. I also do the syringe and nasal spray for babies to h

  • I doubt seasonal allergies would even be considered until the sneezing/running nose has lasted more than two weeks
