FTM nervous about Ultrasound

Originally I was going to get none, then I agreed to the 20 week one to confirm that my placenta has not settled over the cervix...then I figured might as well look at baby...then might as well look for sex as I strongly feel it will help me bond.

However I read reports about bones heating, loud noises interrupting baby and I just don't trust the machines but I can get extreme too...I don't know what I will do.

Did anyone else battle with this??

Ps I understand the necessity of then for Mom's who are high risk I'm more asking about 'routine' ones

  • I think there is a big difference between having one 20-week anatomy scan and having an ultrasound at every appointment in a low-risk pregnancy (which seems to be the norm in some OB practices!).

The 20-week anatomy scan was important to me becau
