I stopped pumping when DS was 6 WEEKS old and I can STILL get milk from both breasts.  Not a full out spray, mind you, but when does it stop?!?!?  My LO is nearly 18 months old.  This is my third child and I only EVER pumped for about 6 weeks with each child.... I didn't have this with my first two children and they were only 23 months apart.  Why would I still be able to squeeze and get milk now after such a long time?

    I wasn't able to BF with my first but years after he was born they would occasionally leak little drops or I'd get a knot in one breast and have to massage it and squeeze it and milk would come out. It has to do with your prolactin levels.

    I exclusively pumped until Gator was 4mo. She will be 18mo on the 30th. I am still lactating.
