Pointing out body parts

My daughter can proudly tell you all the visible parts of the body...and then some. We were at the park the other day and she pointed out another woman's "boobs." I was mortified and quite honestly didnt know how to respond. I said yes and moved on and luckily for me she didnt acknowledge it. I tried to tell her later that we dont point out other peoples body parts but shes two will she even remember since I did it later. How do you handle body talk in public?

    Exactly the way you did!

    I am trying to instill that we don't talk about other people in public at all and if there is a question or observation then wait until we are in the car to ask and I will happily disuss.

    I think you handled it fine.  Your DD may not remember what you said but that's why you need to be a broken record.  Most kids this age will not remember those things and you just need to keep repeating it.
