Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Anyone else...

Have a baby that won't nap at daycare?  DD naps for a total of 3 hours every day on the weekends (typically in 3-4 naps), but only sleeps 45-60 minutes total all day at daycare (usually a 15 minute nap and a 30 minute nap).  When we're at home, most naps are in her crib.  We've started to do modified Ferber, so if she's fussing I'll go in every 3-5 minutes and replace her paci/shush her.  She usually doesn't need me to go in more than twice before she passes out.  I've tried to talk to the daycare teachers about what we're doing at home, but it's impossible for me to tell if they're attempting to do the same things.  The afternoon teacher tells me that if she's crying for more than a few minutes they pick her up and try to rock her, but obviously that isn't helping since she barely sleeps.  They also like to let her sleep in the bouncer, which drives me crazy since we're trying to be consistent with the crib at home... but if she's only sleeping 45 minutes in a day, I feel like I should just leave it alone and let her at least get that little bit.

When I get home she usually passes out for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours because she's so exhausted.  I expect her to need a late afternoon nap, but I hate that it's so long.  I only get to see her from 3:30pm til bed time at 7:30pm, and I don't want her to spend half of that time napping :(

Anyways... Is this a normal baby thing, to not nap at daycare?  Will it get better?  She's been there since she was 9 weeks old, so it's not like we're trying to get through an adjustment period or anything...
