Baby Showers

Registry Question

I'm setting up a registry and I'd like to include a note that says, "please remember to include a gift receipt when possible," but I don't know how to make it sound better. I was trying to add something like, "Baby may not like the bottles that Mommy has picked, so please remember to include a gift receipt if possible." Thoughts? Suggestions? I've had a couple friends recently have babies that got several duplicate gifts, but no one gave them gift receipts so that they could exchange the items.

  • I got a stroller for my son at his shower many many years ago. No receipt. Once he was born I opened it up to use it and it turned out someone had bought the stroller and stuck their old on back in the box and returned it.

  • You can't do it without looking tacky, honestly. If I were to get an invite with that, I'd automatically think you're going to return what I buy you.

  • you should just check the registry location on their exchange policy. target, amazon or BRU accepts exchages/returns without a gift receipt as long as its shows up on your registry.
