My Mila is a year old next week! I have a moby but she is getting so big it hurts my back. I really want to get a new one but for the price I can't afford trial and error. I live in a very small town so I will have to buy online.
I have the seated Snugli (just like an ergo) that i love! It does front, hip or back carry. LO is 21lbs and still easy to carry in it. She still cuddles in and falls asleep.
Ergo! Hands down... I love my Ergo. Hubby bought a Deuter carrier or something with a frame and it alone weighs four pounds. No thanks! I love snuggling my LO in the Ergo.. she still tolerates the front carry.
I used the Moby forever with Cordelia then switched to the Ergo. It is working great for us. I was also interested in the Beco, but the seat is narrower on it and the Ergo is a big more seat for them. I love love love the Ergo!!!

I'm confused... shouldn't they be walking around on their own by now? Once my daughter started walking she'd barely let me carry her in my arms. Is this for hiking or something?
I still use my Ergo occasionally. It's great for trips to the grocery store when my older DD is walking (running) and my LO is climbing out of the cart b/c she wants to be held. I also use it when we are out and is naptime/bedtime. Shest

I love my mei-tai. It works great for a high back carry and I think it's easier to put on solo than the Ergo. My DH tends to use the Ergo more, but he doesn't do back carries solo. He uses the Ergo for front carries when he's on his own.
I have a mei tai for my 17 month old who weighs 30 pounds. I'm looking to buy the new Soleil by Beco. I think it totally depends on your preference and how big/small your child is. My girl is off the charts tall, and 99 percentile for we

Here's a good link that talks about the different types specifically for toddler<a href="http:/
