I teach 8th grade science at an inner city public school. I had a student approach me this morning and say that I was "instagram famous" and proceeded to show me a picture. The picture was of me at a table leaning over to help a student with one of my students in the foreground (female) posing to make it look like she was grabbing my butt.
I managed to find the picture using my own personal account (the student's wasn't set to private) and brought it down to administration. The students involved were suspended, but I can't help but feel violated and frustrated. I know that kids will be kids, but in an age where they have technology at their fingertips and know how to be sneaky I feel like I'm teaching in a mine field!
Add to that that I feel like a terrible teacher. How could I not see them doing this? In my defense, there was 2 of us in the room and neither of us noticed, but still....ugh...plus now I have to face these kiddos for the rest of the year and be professional about it.
No point to this other than to vent. If you got this far here's a drink for you....I'm certainly having one.

Ugh. Don't beat yourself up about missing it. As much as they tried to convince us otherwise, teachers don't actually have eyes in the back of their head.
I'm not a teacher, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I think you need
