Update to Induction (long and sort of boring)

So .. short story is.. nothing exciting yet, I'm still pregnant.

Long story:

I went in to the hospital yesterday (4/11) around 11am. I was 1cm and my cervix was long (I think that's what they called it.. whatever it was, it wasn't behaving lol) They put something called misoproxyl (?) in and checked me 4 hours later. I was still only 1cm, and I was contracting too much for them to put another miso. in.. so they suggested I start walking. Man, am I out of shape.

The walking did nothing but make my feet hurt.. and the doctor came in around 7pm and told me that there was a couple other "sick pregnant women" who just got admitted and she was wondering if I wanted to go home for the night and come back today. Sure, why not.

So MH and I went home and put L to bed. I was still having mild contractions, but nothing exciting. After 2am, the contractions stopped and I was able to get a good 4 hours of sleep. We got back to the hospital at 1130am and are still here waiting for something exciting to happen to my cervix... still at 1cm.. this baby is more stubborn than her sister!

And since it is Friday, I do have a confession from all of this...

Today is my MIL's birthday and I am secretly wicked excited that I'm still pregnant. I really hope this LO waits until 1201 to make her appearance lol. I know it's silly, but I want her to have her own day, not have to share it w/ my MIL. And seeing that it's 830pm and I still haven't started on pitocin yet, I'm pretty hopeful that she will hang out until tomorrow.

If you got through this massive novel, you are awesome and get a gold star lol

    Ahhh!  Good luck, I hope LO doesn't make their appearance until 12:01am!!

    Well, it sounds like your LO wants a separate birthday too.  Congratulations soon enough, though.  Gold star for me!

    Good luck! I hope baby decides to come out soon, but not too soon! Fingers crossed for a 12:01 baby!

    Thanks for the update and I wish you the very best! I was induced with misoprostal and it took 2 doses and 24 hours. they also used pitocin later on. I am not trying to cause you any worry/grief but I am saying that you may be able to wait until 12:01 and
