Crawling on Hardwood Question!!!

I just posted this week about my almost 10 month old not crawling yet...well the next day he started! LOL When do you let him go on the hardwood?? I have a mat but he keeps crawling off....do I let him go for it and learn from mistakes ie.. Getting a little banged up????

    DS crawls on hard wood at home most of the time. We have tile/ hardwood in our living room, dining room and kitchen where we spend most of our time. Let him explore. It might be easier to take his pants and socks off so its not as slippery.

    DS crawls on all hardwood in our house. I just take his socks off to make it easier for him to cruise.

    Same as everyone else. We just let him go wherever. He'll figure out how not to slide as he gets better at actually pusshing off with his knees.

    Like a PP, though, DS is always barefoot. He's great at standing and has started dabbling in walk

    Ok...that's what I was thinking to do just had second thoughts when he banged his head on floor and wailed! Guess he'll get the hang of it soon!

    My LO has done so many faceplants on the tile and hardwood I can't even keep count! It's going to be impossible for you to contain him on soft surfaces. And if you think it's bad now...just wait until he starts walking! The bumps and bruises happen every

    I only have hard wood floors too and my LO crawls like a mad man! He slides a little but he is def able to do it! He has just started to pull up too, so it's doable, a little difficult but doable. I do however have an area rug which is where he first lear
