I have lots of questions about gear as a FTM. Here are a few of them. Thanks for your help!
1) How did you choose your car seat and stroller? If you get the lightest one (e.g. Graco SnugRide), are you sacrificing safety? Which is the best for weight and safety combined? Are the Graco click strollers sturdy enough? Any thoughts on Peg Perego? I've been offered a used Peg Perego set but might just use that for my mom to have a set.
2) Convertible cribs - yay or no? Is there anything dangerous about them?
3) Where did you get your bedding set? A lot of the ones I've seen are really stiff from the patterns on them. Does the baby care? Have you found any that are cute and soft? I'm having a girl and would like to have some purple in the pattern.
4) What items are you buying yourself vs. registering for them?
5) Does Babies R Us offer any incentives to set up a registry? Target sent me an offer for a $20 gift card and I was just wondering if BRU does anything similar.

1. We chose the Graco SnugRide seat and the Graco FastAction fold stroller. It's a travel system but it's lightweight. The stroller has a one-hand fold which is convenient and I am able to take both in/out of my car without a lot of trouble. As someone

1) We have Graco Snugride 30. It has one of the highest safety testing, so no, I am not sacrificing safety. I chose the 30 over Snugride 22 because the 22 has not been side-impact tested. We also have the Graco snap-n-go. I love

I'm also a FTM, but here are my answers:
1) How did you choose your car seat and stroller?
We went with the Graco Snugride 35 carseat because it is highly recommended by most of the people I have talked to and it seemed
