sorry, I just needed to get this out.
I am at a conference with 32 undergraduates. Because I am out of town, I asked a research rotation student if she wanted to work a couple of extra days with me next week because her rotation was supposed to end Friday. She was enthusiastic so I emailed the course coordinator (the a$$hat who told my female research student when i was pregnant in october that pregnant women can't be good research advisors or scientists) to confirm that it was OK.
he never replied but today (three days later) sends me an email telling me that I'm unprofessional for not okaying it with him first and for not being there this week. hello? i'm at a university-requested conference trip.
so tired of the passive-agressive b.s. and harassment!

She sounds super obnoxious. Do you have an HR department? I don't know how it works for universities, but I think her derogatory comments about your pregnancy are crossing the line. Pregnancy is a Title VII protected trait and that *might* qualify
