Is it weird...

I introduced myself before, but for those that missed, I'm 33...first time trying...first time got pregnant...think I'm 3-4 weeks...oh and been married for 4 years. My husband has a beautiful 11 yr old daughter, which I've been assisting in raising for the past 8 years...work a lot and in my 2/3 year dr. program...

Is it weird that I feel weird about saying I'm pregnant with excitement...like I want to be humble...not brag...for god sake I think it's still a possibility I can lose it so early on...I feel like I cant be completely happy...not just yet.  Of course the ppl around that I told, which are only super close friends, are extremely happy...so I feel weird not being as happy they are for me! haha...I even feel like if I were to tell my parents now they'd look at me weird for my fake smile of happiness. Now dont get me wrong this was planned...I want kids...it's just weird to think its actually happening.  Everyday I go to the restroom and say nope no period, guess I am really pregnant! haha! I dont know if I'm worrying about miscarrying and therefore not letting myself be pregnant...it seems a lot of ppl do.  If you dont mind sharing, how many of you miscarried your first pregnancy? Thanks:)

  • I'm six weeks along in my first pregnancy. I understand how you feel completely. I think partly because its so early it doesn't seem quite real yet, and partly because anything could happen and I could have a miscarriage. I too almost expect to be bleedin

  • I miscarried my first two.  Praying third time is a charm... It happens to some, and not to others.  The more you worry, the more you increase your odds.  So, for goodness sake, sit back and relax and bask in this gift!  The fact that

  • Hi! I think it's normal to feel the way you feel. This is my first pregnancy, so I don't have any advice for miscarriage, but I too STILL am suspicious that it's real at 4w4d. And at first I was afraid to be excited, for exactly that reason...miscarriage.

  • I feel the same way. I am happy to be pregnant but try not to read too much yet or get too excited. I am 7 weeks yesterday and I just told my sister yesterday even though I got an ultrasound and heard the baby (I had a little bleeding so Dr wanted me t

  • I totally understand the whole suspicion about it not being real. I have no symptoms at all and we tried for 18 months, had one CP/miscarriage, two failed IUIs and one failed IVF. I almost feel like it's a joke or fake! I am very very nervous that some
  • Well, I feel the exact same way you do - so in my mind, it's normal. I did M/C with my first pregnancy but I also had an idiot for a doctor and he didn't take my concerns seriously. I have a very hard time getting excited like I should for quite a while.
