3rd Trimester

Update after appt and thinking water broke...

Went to the doctor and she said that everything was fine....however she said that im not allowd to take anymore bath's because water can get trapped in there and then feel like it gushes out when it comes out which she says is probably what happened...So advice for you guys, try and stay out of the bath tub when your this close to the end...lol! You never know if it could be or couldn't be your water....

  • either your vag is a gaping cavern or you're doing things in the bath tub that a pregnant lady ought not to.

  • I take a bath almost everyother night,  Sad
  • Nobody's taking away my right to a nice, hot bath. LOL

I thought you could tell if it was the water because it replenishes itself and keeps trickling until the birth. ?

  • WHAT?! I LIVED in the tub the last few weeks of pregnancy. It was SO relaxing. Actually, I went into labor on a Sunday night at 8:30. The first thing I did was get in the tub...(I had back labor and it was very soothing).  When I got to the hospital they actually had me get back in the tub until my water broke...

  • oh my lmao right now at the comments.
  • I've never heard of that! weird! I love the tub
  • Wah??? I think your doctor is off her rocker.

I take a bath almost every night and have for the last 5+ years. I have never had water gush out of me afterwards.

  • Yeah, i love the bath tub too and that's the first time that it has happened to me....

I dont do things in the bath tub that i wasn't supposed too...lol...well, besides sleep for like a half hour because it is very relaxing! But now i can't, im sad... :(

I know that during labor it is supposed to help relieve the pain and stuff...but i guess i have to wait till then...

The reason that i went in there though late last night is because i was having contractions....strangely though after i felt that gush, they stopped!

wait, back up. you SLEEP in the tub? Perhaps you should talk to your doctor about that first. Very dangerous!

i know, like naps though....not for long periods of time...my husband gets on me about it all the time..it's just really hard not too when it's so relaxing and your tired

  • I draw the line at taking away my baths. It's the only thing left that I'm allowed to do from my former life.

::fantasizing about saunas, soft unpasteurized cheeses, spicy tuna rolls, having more than a little wine at dinner::

  • I think I would cry if they said I couldnt take a bath...that is when I think I would break ... you can take my wine, my sushi, my sauna / spa, but I put my big fat swollen feet down when you say my bath.....
