    I have actually heard that eggplant parmesan can help to induce labor when your are full term.  Of course, this is an OWT as well, and it wouldn't do anything before that.

    Unreal.  All I wanted to do was eat my sandwich in peace but no.  Instead, I got looked at like I had three heads and like i was putting myself at risk!  Confused<

    Hmm, I never heard that about eggplant...new one! Way to be a buzzkill. Glad you were able to enjoy anyway! I, on the other hand, just thorougly enjoyed my hot dog for lunch...at least it was organic and nitrate free!

    I think it is because it's a member of the nightshade family. They are high in alkaloids which can impact nervemuscle function and digestive function. At least according to the Internet! I have not seen anything about avoiding them when pregnant though
