S/O runny nose = teething?

A mama on my BMB just mentioned that her daughter had crazy runny noses and icky diapers when she was teething...

Anyone else noticed this? M is teething right now, one is all the way through and another is just cutting through and she has a crazy runny nose and has had nasty diapers and an abnormal amount of just wet diapers too. But no other signs of a cold/virus, could this just be teething?

  • Yes, my DD usually gets a runny nose (usually clear mucous)  and nasty diapers just before she cuts a tooth. She has also sometimes gets a low grade fever while cutting a tooth. And the moment the tooth comes through everything stops and she goes bac

  • Yes, DS had runny noses and was especially drooly during teething stages.
  • True for DS.  He's cutting canine teeth right now and has both the runny nose and icky diapers. He doesn't seem to be as cranky about them as previous teeth.

  • I think that's what we're dealing with right now.  Runny nose, low grade fever, and nasty diarrhea diapers.  (He's not having more frequent BMs than normal - just when he has them, they're nasty diarrhea).
