I introduced myself here a couple months ago, but haven't had much time to post, though I have lurked from time to time.
My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2010, two months after my first miscarriage. We knew it was bad from the start, but always hoped for a miracle.
Last year we learned it had spread to her lungs, then in February this year tumors were found in her brain.
In early March she suffered a fall and broke her ankle. We learned then that the cancer was also in her spine. She has been in hospital since and has declined very fast.
She is in hospice now, and in her final days.
It is the hardest thing to watch. I've been with her in hospital every day for a month now...it's been so hard. My Dad passed away 15 years ago, and I only have one sister who lives a plane ride away. My husband has been wonderful, but also works out of town four days a week.
I'm heartbroken, emotional, exhausted, and worried about the toll this is having on my baby. I see an acupuncturist twice weekly, which really helps calm me and ease the stress, but it's just been so hard in the past few days.
I'm 18 weeks today, and baby has been active, and easy to find on my Doppler ... I just don't know how I'm going to get through the coming weeks. Imagining myself having this baby without my Mom is impossible. She was so happy for us, and has been such an important member of our family ...my 15 year old daughter and her are very close, and have traveled the world together. It's just devastating.
Sorry for rambling, not sure of the point of this...just looking for some thoughts and prayers. Thanks for listening.

First off words cannot express your pain or help you feel better, but I am truely sorry this is happening to you. My mother was in a coma since March 9th and passed away March 20. I lived in the hospital during those weeks. It is the hardest thin
