birthday party before the birthday?

I usually think it makes sense to do birthday parties the weekend after the birthday.  DS's is the Thursday after Mother's Day.  My aunt always does a BBQ for Mother's Day, I spoke to her about us having DS's birthday on that day and she was fine with it.  Now DH thinks we should do it on a Saturday.  I feel like if we have the party the Saturday after his birthday, my aunt would still feel obligated to having her BBQ and people would feel obligated to going to both, but if we do it the Saturday before his birthday she may not do the BBQ so people wouldn't feel committed to 2 parties.  WWYD?  FWIW no one really has mothers around so Mother's day doesn't really effect things.

    Our little guy's birthday is on a Tuesday and we will be having his party the Saturday before.  I would have preferred to do it the weekend after, but hubby is a football coach and of course he has a camp that weekend.

    Dd's birthday party is tomorrow and she turns 1 on Tuesday. She has a state pageant the next weekend.

    Started back on BC May, 2010; Had last shot on Aug. 2010
    TTC starting in November, 2010; Irregular cycles- went to Dr
    U/S showed cysts on both ovaries; Diag. Lap on March 1st, 2011
    Lap showed that my right fal. tube is centered, instead of to the right
    Left fal. tube is disjointed
    uterus is tilted and the size of a softball, not a pear.
    BFP on 8-30-11, 9-2-11, and 9-4-11.
    EDD is May 14, 2012. :)
