sandles for Mommys..silly question perhaps

Ok, so I am a huge flip flop finatic... while pregnant, I wore them all the time. My mother was on my case constantly about how I was going to fall in them. I did fall once early in my pregnancy when I walked through my garage when the floor was wet. Sooo now that baby is here, I don't want to be carrying her and trip over my flip flops. I LOVE them but need a safer, comfortable sandle for summer. I want something I can wear with casual clothing... preferably not those thick tevas. Any suggestions?

I've had good luck with flip flops/sandals from JC Penny..I believe the brand is Arizona. They thicker than normal, kind of have a memory foam feel, and the bottom is highly textured so I get a good grip with them...they're $15-$20, but I've had a couple

Are you looking for a sandle with more straps? Maybe some t-strap sandles? I live in them in the summer.

I wear just about any, but I prefer sandals with a back strap so they don't slide off. I like Clarks, Naturalizer and Aerosoles.

I got Birkenstocks because my feet always hurt in flip flops from lack of support, but they last a lot longer, and my feet don't slide in them. They have lots of styles too, mine are a bronze flip flop type.
