Hello ladies. I've never posted on this board before and I hope it's ok if I do so. I'm coming hoping for some advice and resource ideas. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and in the hospital to try to stop preterm labor. While a lot is up in the air right now, it looks like by the weekend I may get to go home on bedrest and taking procardia to keep contractions away. My doctor has said that he would be shocked to see me go past 36 weeks gestational age and that while 36 weeks is his ultimate hope, he would be "very happy" with 32 weeks as well at this point.
So while everything is up in the air and there's no guarantees, it looks like a preemie journey and NICU time is inevitable for us. I have no idea when I'll deliver and I know preemie issues are very different depending on what GA you end up delivering. But I'm still hoping, at least generally, for some insight and advice.
What do I prepare for? What can I expect? What can I do for mother and baby bonding while in the NICU? What should I research and learn as far as preemie health? I am 100 percent in th dark about all this so I was hoping to come to you about any insight and wisdom on anything from the emotional, physical, logistical... basically any aspect of this journey.
Thank you so very much.

Re: Hello what to expect?
Definitely ask to take a tour of the NICU and ask to speak to the neo. I wish I had done that the first time around with my first DD. Both my girls were born early 33 and 34 weeks. My oldest had a relatively easy NICU stay, no breathing issues, just ja
