My first inappropriate IF comment in the workplace

I say its my first because I'm sure there will be others

So, I work in Property Management and this lady was evicted from her home. I had talked to her a few times that day so after it was agreed she could move back into the home, she came to our office and asked for me. I sit in the back room so the front desk guy came to talk to me. Since I didn't know what to do about her, I called another person in our office while he stood there and we began just chatting about the situation. Here is our conversation:

Coworker on the phone: "Oh you should have seen the house. I heard it was filthy and disgusting. Its a shame that she's bringing a baby into that home."

Me: "Oh she's pregnant?" (I hadn't seen her just talked on the phone)

Coworker: "Yeah...like about to pop"

Me to Front Desk Guy standing listening: "Ask her when her due date is, I'm taking her baby"

After that came out of my mouth, I wasn't sure what they'd say. Thankfully my coworkers are pretty awesome and were laughing pretty hard. PHEW.
