Burping / spit up

So after most feedings I try to burp my little guy but nothing ever becomes of it. Sometimes I put him in his vibrating swing and he has spit up all over himself. This seems to be the only way he spits up.

Do you have any tricks for getting them to spit up or just burp? I currently pat him on the back for a few minutes.

  • Burp after every few minutes. They're harder to come out after a bunch of milk or formula is on top of the gas. I also keep baby up on my shoulder for a while. If he scrunches down, he's more likely to spit up. You could try gas drops or maybe grip wa

    I have to give my DS gas drops sometimes. And I've noticed it helps him burp better.

  • I'm a rebel and put baby on my shoulder to burp him. Sometimes I'll either alternate or combine patting with bouncing if I know he's got some burps to let out, but they're being stubborn.
