Who's had genetic counseling done?

What can I expect?

 My doctor called and my 2nd tri labs (quad) came back with abnormalities that "alarmed" him and I now have a referral to Walter Reed to be seen on Friday.

 DH is in the field and it happens to be a little over an hour from our house. I am thankful that they are letting him leave for the one day of appointments.

    We did.  

    My quad screen results came back with an elevated risk for Downs Syndrome.  My OB had me see an MFM specialist who did a higher level u/s.  That u/s, done at about 14 weeks, showed nothing concerning and the MFM indicated

    My quad screen came back abnormal for nuero tube defects , so they repeated it, and it was just barely normal, so they made me do genetic counseling anyway. Like PP, they sent me to an MFM for a level II ultrasound because of that and because DS's kidneys

    Thank you for the responses ladies. I leave for my appointment in less than two hours and I just want to know whats going on. I'll update this post with my results.
